About this program
Emory's BA in Dance and Movement Studies is a serious academic discipline that 'emphasises developing artistry, discovering body-mind connections, and expanding body intelligence that will transfer into a variety of professions.' No audition required for programme admission. The Dance Program does not make admissions decisions — the admissions committee makes those decisions. OPTIONAL SUPPLEMENTAL DANCE VIDEO (NOT required; used for admissions feedback only; does NOT affect admissions decision): 2-5 minutes in length. One or more dance styles: modern/contemporary (preferred); also welcome: ballet, jazz, hip-hop. Or: choreography you have created. Must be hosted online as a public YouTube URL. EMORY DANCE COMPANY (DANC 207R — in-programme performance opportunity): Professionally oriented performance company. Auditions held second week of each semester for students ENROLLED IN A TECHNIQUE CLASS. Students must be enrolled in a technique class at the time of the audition to participate.
