Seifert — Director of Bands; former Department Chair for 18 years (2007–2025); NMMEA Hall of Fame 2026 inductee; American Bandmasters Association member (2022); conducts Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Greyhound Sound Marching Band. Kayla Liechty — Vocal Coach and Collaborative Pianist; 20+ years professional experience; collaborated with Marilyn Horne, Sherrill Milnes, Jennifer Larmore, Martina Arroyo, and Leona Mitchell; has accompanied choirs at Carnegie Hall on five occasions. THREE DEGREE OPTIONS: BM in Music Performance — intensive performance study; junior and senior recitals required. BM in Music Education — Instrumental or Choral concentration; leads to New Mexico K–12 music teaching certification. BS in Music — broader, more flexible music degree; for students interested in music with additional elective freedom. GREYHOUND SOUND MARCHING BAND: 2024 Division II/III champion — performed Metallica 'For Whom the Band Tolls' at 2024 championship. $40,000 in equipment purchased in recent years. International touring history: performed in the Dublin, Ireland St. Patrick's Day Parade (2009, 2015, 2019); Oxford and Bath, England (2004). STIPENDS: Band and choir award substantial stipends to participants based on the instrumental and vocal needs of the ensembles. These stipends may be renewed. IMPORTANT: MUSIC STIPENDS ARE BASED ON PARTICIPATION AND DO NOT AFFECT OTHER FORMS OF FINANCIAL AID. ANNUAL EVENTS: ENMU Piano Day (annual); Pops Concert (November); Wind Symphony concerts; Symphonic Band concerts; choral concerts. Band Application required for Marching Band participation.
