ETBU's Music programme is NASM-accredited and offers degrees in Music Education, Music (BA), and Worship Studies. Contact: music@etbu.edu; 903.923.2158. Christian worldview integrated throughout all music programmes. THREE DEGREE OPTIONS: BM in Music Education — leads to Texas K-12 music teaching certification. BA in Music — flexible liberal arts music degree; may combine with other majors. BM in Worship Studies — concentrations in worship leadership and arts administration; prepares for church worship ministry. FACILITIES: Jenna Guest Music Building — Choral Rehearsal Hall; Mabee Recital Hall; Bennett Technology Lab; Worship Media Lab. Redwine Instrumental Building — 3,000 sq ft Band Hall; practice rooms; percussion studio. Baker Auditorium (Rogers Spiritual Life Center) — used for Worship Leadership recitals. ENSEMBLES: Concert Choir; Hilltop Singers; Symphonic Band; Jazz Band; Woodwind Ensemble; Marshall Symphony Orchestra collaboration. ANNUAL EVENTS: Woodwind Ensemble Concert (March 2). Concert Choir/Hilltop Singers Concert (March 3). Symphonic Band Concert (March 5). Marshall Symphony Orchestra and ETBU Concert Choir (March 22 or 21). Jazz Band Concert (March 27). Kodály Summer Workshop (July; kodaly@etbu.edu). ADMISSION PROCESS: Incoming students are strongly encouraged to complete the audition before beginning enrollment. First-semester freshmen with no prior college music credit may defer audition to end of first semester. Transfer students must complete audition before enrolling in music courses. ADVANCED PLACEMENT: Students wishing to major in Vocal Performance, Piano Performance, or Music Education must audition/apply for these specific degree tracks at the end of their first year.
