About this program
The Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at Boise State University provides a strong background in repertoire and performance and prepares students for graduate work in the creative and performing arts and a professional career at the university level. The BM Performance is an intensive program housed within the Department of Music inside the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. Boise State Music is an Accredited Institutional Member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The program offers focused instruction in all orchestral instruments, voice, piano, and classical guitar through weekly applied lessons, ensembles, performance opportunities, and academic coursework in music theory, music history, and musicianship. BM Performance students are required to audition for admission to the department; music scholarships are determined and awarded through the audition process.
