About this program
The BA in Music with Jazz Emphasis focuses on jazz performance and pedagogy within the liberal arts framework. Curriculum features a two-semester sequence in jazz techniques (MCAP323/324) centered on piano techniques required to explore, direct and understand jazz harmony as applied to jazz structures and styles. Classes taught in the AMC piano lab. The AQ Summer Jazz Camp (almost 40 years of history) offers summer jazz enrichment.
