BA in Theatre
Xavier University — Cincinnati, OH
About this program
Xavier University's Bachelor of Arts in Theatre is a liberal arts degree housed within the Department of Music and Theatre in the College of Arts and Sciences. Students build an individualized curriculum across performance, design, and theatre technology with an integrated approach to practice and research. The degree was introduced in 2013 and currently anchors a rigorous and diverse production season of musicals, dramas, and comedies. Founded in the Jesuit Catholic tradition, Xavier provides a liberal arts environment where theatre students take classes alongside majors in many fields. Small class sizes, faculty mentorship, and a five-to-seven-show production season allow first-year students to land leading roles and design assignments. Graduates pursue careers as actors, directors, designers, stage managers, producers, and educators.
