About this program

Theater at Washington and Lee helps students develop confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively while practicing creative problem-solving. Students become part of a vibrant community of artists and leaders, with graduates crediting these skills as key to success in medicine, law, business, management, and the performing arts. The program emphasizes learning by doing through research, writing, and various aspects of production including performance and design.
