About this program
The University of Wollongong is a public research university founded in 1975, located on the NSW South Coast 80km south of Sydney. The Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities houses the performing arts programmes. The Bachelor of Performance and Theatre offers an Acting major (requiring an audition) and a Theatre Making major. UOW celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025.
