About this program
The University of Southern Indiana Theatre program offers students comprehensive training in theatre arts through a Bachelor of Science degree. The program produces four mainstage productions annually, exposing students to a wide range of theatre styles from musical to drama, contemporary to classic. Students gain hands-on experience as actors, sound and light engineers, costume and set designers. A distinctive feature of the program is the Repertory Project, which occurs once annually and allows students to perform alongside professional actors from the Actors' Equity Association, providing valuable mentorship and professional experience. The program is housed within the Performing Arts Department and utilizes state-of-the-art facilities including the USI Performance Center and the Mallette Studio Theatre.
