The University of Oregon is a public research university founded in 1876 in Eugene — a vibrant city in the Willamette Valley, surrounded by mountains and coast, and a known hub for outdoor adventure, arts, and culture. The School of Music and Dance offers a comprehensive range of music and dance degrees. Dual application required for all music and dance majors: both the UO application and the SOMD application by January. The BFA in Dance requires an admission audition; BA/BS Dance uses placement-only auditions.
