About this program
The University of Northern Colorado is a public doctoral and research university founded in 1890, located in Greeley, Colorado. The College of Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) houses the School of Music, the School of Theatre Arts and Dance, and other arts programmes. PVA awards over $1.8 million in scholarships annually. The Little Theatre of the Rockies — the oldest professional summer stock theatre company in the Western United States — is housed at UNC and operates each summer, providing unique professional performance opportunities. UNC stages more than 30 productions per year. The LA Showcase is attended by agents, casting directors, and film/TV industry representatives. The BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre programmes are nationally competitive with noted alumni including Tony Award nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) and Broadway performer Andy Kelso (Kinky Boots).
