About this program
The BA in Drama at UNC Greensboro offers an interdisciplinary approach to theatrical studies within a liberal arts framework. Students pursue a vital mix of coursework combining theory and practice across multiple areas of theatre—including performance, design, technical production, theatre management, and theatre for young audiences—while also developing expertise in at least one other discipline that informs their theatre practice. This flexibility encourages students to develop connected understandings across fields and prepares them for diverse career paths or graduate study. The program benefits from collaborations with other university departments and a rich cohort of visiting artists including actors, casting directors, playwrights, agents, producers, designers, and faculty from other universities. BA students are encouraged to pursue minors in areas such as Women and Gender Studies, African American Studies, Arts Administration, Psychology, or Studio Art, and study abroad is highly encouraged to enhance their artistic and intellectual development.
