About this program

The University of Guam is a public land-grant institution and the only four-year university in Guam — a US territory located in the western Pacific Ocean, approximately 1,500 miles east of the Philippines. As a US territory institution, UOG is eligible for US federal financial aid (FAFSA), and students who are US citizens or eligible non-citizens may qualify for federal grants and loans. Established in 1952, UOG serves approximately 3,000 students from Guam, across Micronesia (Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands), and internationally. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) houses the Fine Arts Program, which takes a distinctive integrated approach: art, music, and theatre are combined under a single Fine Arts major with three tracks, reflecting the cultural reality that creative disciplines on Guam are deeply interconnected. Musical theatre is described by UOG as "particularly popular on Guam" and exemplifies the programme's embrace of creative collaboration. The Fine Arts Building on campus includes two- and three-dimensional visual arts studios, music studios, a theater workshop, and a theater production facility. The Isla Center for the Arts is a campus venue for performances and exhibitions. Tuition: approximately $6,000-8,000/year for US residents/territories (confirm at uog.edu). Apply online at uog.edu.
