About this program
The University at Buffalo (UB) is the largest and most comprehensive campus in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, enrolling approximately 32,000 students on its 1,350-acre North Campus in Amherst, New York (suburban Buffalo). A AAU research university founded in 1846, UB is consistently ranked among the top public universities in the United States. The College of Arts and Sciences houses both the Department of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance. Music facilities are centered in Baird Hall, home to the 700-seat Lippes Concert Hall and the Slee Concert Hall — Lippes is the site of UB's annual June in Buffalo festival and significant home to new music. Theatre and Dance operates from the Center for the Arts on North Campus, which includes the Drama Theatre and Katharine Cornell Theatre. Tuition for New York State residents is approximately $7,070 per year ; out-of-state tuition is approximately $24,950 per year. UB accepts the Common App.
