Union College — Schenectady, NY
About this program
Union College is a highly selective, private, residential liberal arts college founded in 1795 — the first planned campus in the United States — located in Schenectady, New York. Ranked #44 among National Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report, Union enrolls approximately 2,031 full-time undergraduates and operates on a trimester academic calendar. The college is known for its integration of the humanities, sciences, and engineering, and for an unusually interdisciplinary culture that encourages double and triple majors. All students belong to one of seven Minerva Houses, which serve as hubs for academic, social, and residential life. Union is an all-Steinway school. The Taylor Music Center (housing Emerson Auditorium, practice rooms, and recording technology), the Yulman Theater (state-of-the-art black box), and the Henle Dance Pavilion form a performing arts complex overlooking the historic Jackson's Garden. Tuition for the upcoming cycle–25 is $71,676. More than 60% of students receive need-based scholarship assistance, with average packages exceeding $55,000. Merit scholarships range from $10,000 to $46,000.
