BM in Music
The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga — Chattanooga, TN
About this program
The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is offered through the Department of Music, which has been an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1933 — the oldest and longest accreditation of any music program in the State of Tennessee. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Performance, Music Education, and Theory/Composition concentrations within the BMus, as well as graduate degrees in performance and music education. The faculty members are highly qualified active recitalists, chamber musicians, conductors, and members of local professional performing organizations; most have earned the terminal degree in their field. The mission is to cultivate a passion for musical excellence by providing the highest quality education. Students benefit from UTC's vibrant Chattanooga arts community, the renovated Fine Arts Center (2020), and the Patten Chapel acoustic environment.
