Seton Hill University is a private Catholic liberal arts university in Greensburg, Pennsylvania — 35 miles east of Pittsburgh — enrolling approximately 2,000 students. The School of Visual and Performing Arts offers a comprehensive range of performing arts degrees across music and theatre/dance. The Musical Theatre programme offers both a BFA (intensive professional training in acting, dance, and music) and a BA (foundational skills with a chosen focus in acting, dance, or music). Seton Hill's Performing Arts Center — located a block from the Arts Center in Greensburg's historic cultural district — provides dynamic performance venues including the William Granger Ryan Theatre and the Ridge Performance Studio. The Department of Theatre and Dance produces three full-length productions, two dance concerts, and numerous studio productions each academic year. Admission requires an audition for acting/musical theatre majors.
