About this program
Samford University is a private Christian liberal arts university in Birmingham, Alabama — founded in 1841, enrolling 6,324 students from 44 states and 16 countries. The Department of Theatre and Dance is NAST-accredited and offers three distinct undergraduate degrees: a BA in Theatre (with Acting & Directing, and Production Design & Technology concentrations), a BFA in Musical Theatre, and a BFA in Theatre for Youth: Performance and Teaching Artistry. The BFA in Musical Theatre is a conservatory-style degree with Edinburgh Festival Fringe and London study abroad opportunities. Samford's Daniel House campus in London provides a semester-long immersive theatre programme with a built-in internship at a UK theatre company. No prescreen is required — all complete applications are invited to audition in person at one of three annual Audition Weekends.
