Royal Conservatoire The Hague — The Hague, South Holland

BachelorDanceThe Hague, South Holland

About this program

The Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Dutch: Koninklijk Conservatorium, KC) is the oldest conservatoire in the Netherlands, founded by King William I in 1826. Since 2010, it forms part of the University of the Arts The Hague alongside the Royal Academy of Art. Since September 2021, the KC is housed in the Amare building — a major new cultural complex in the center of The Hague — shared with the Residentie Orkest (The Hague Philharmonic) and Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), providing students with daily proximity to world-class professional musicians and dancers. All Bachelor programs at the Royal Conservatoire are taught in English (with the exception of Docent Muziek and Docent Muziek Verkort, which are Dutch-language education degrees and are excluded from this listing). Students from around the world apply in English and study in English. Applications are submitted through Studielink (studielink.nl), the Dutch national higher education registration system, not through a US-style Common App or UK-style UCAS. All programs require an audition/entrance exam for admission. The application deadline for all Bachelor programs is February 28 each year (11:59 PM Central European Time). Tuition for non-EU/EEA students is substantially higher than for EU/EEA/Dutch students; EU/EEA students may qualify for Dutch student finance (DUO). English language proficiency: all non-EU/EEA students must demonstrate English proficiency before September 1 of the enrollment year (minimum IELTS 6.0 for Bachelor programs). All enrolled students receive housing guidance; students are advised to note the ongoing housing crisis in the Netherlands when planning.
