Queens University of Charlotte is a private, liberal arts institution in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)-approved BM in Music Therapy within the Department of Art, Design, and Music. The university's 63,000-square-foot Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement (reopened 2020) houses the Sandra Levine Theatre and serves as the primary performance venue. The university draws on Charlotte's rich performing arts ecosystem — including the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and numerous independent ensembles — for professional exposure. The BM in Music Therapy at Queens is the only AMTA-approved music therapy program in Charlotte.
