About this program

Providence College is a private, Catholic liberal arts university of approximately 4,200 students in Providence, Rhode Island, operated by the Dominican Friars. The Theatre, Dance & Film department produces multiple mainstage and laboratory productions per year, all directed by faculty or guest artists from New York, Boston, and Providence. Any student — not just majors — may audition for productions. The Music Department maintains an active performance calendar with ensembles, recitals, and collaborative events throughout the year. Gail Himrod, O.P. Music Scholarships of $23,000 per year for four years are awarded to six incoming music majors annually through the audition process.
