About this program
Point Park University is a private urban university of approximately 4,000 students located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Conservatory of Performing Arts — home to the School of Dance and the School of Theatre, Film and Animation — is widely recognized as one of the top conservatory programs in the country, with 18 annual productions and professional-grade facilities. The Conservatory is anchored by the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Point Park's professional performing arts venue that has operated for more than 90 years and serves both as a training ground and a professional production house. Students perform in Conservatory productions, Pittsburgh Playhouse Presents productions, and with numerous student-run theatre companies on campus. The School of Dance is recognized by DanceUS.org as one of the best college dance programs in the US. Conservatory audition fee: $115 (fee waivers available based on financial need).
