About this program
Pacific University is a private liberal arts university of approximately 3,900 students in Forest Grove, Oregon, about 25 miles west of Portland. The Music Department is NASM-accredited and offers four music degree programs, with ensemble touring throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Facilities include a 400-seat recital hall, a piano lab with Kawai electronic units, a Mac-based MIDI lab, practice rooms, a percussion studio, and a rehearsal hall replicating the recital hall. Pacific University's Music in May is the longest-running high school music festival in the Northwest (founded 1948). Music Talent Scholarships of $2,000–$7,000 per year are available to incoming students regardless of intended major.
