BA in Musical Theatre
North Central College — Naperville, IL
About this program
North Central College's BA in Musical Theatre is housed in the Department of Theatre within a 150-year-old Midwest liberal-arts college. The program integrates acting, voice, and movement study with a full liberal-arts curriculum. Students must demonstrate elementary competence in a foreign language. Voice lessons, piano lessons, and theatre practicum may be taken for zero credit or for elective credit up to College limits, in addition to the hours required for the major. The Department of Theatre produces seven full productions each year, including two musicals. Students can direct a show as part of the Student Directed Series and can develop a Senior Showcase that includes auditions for well-known agents and casting directors (including Paskal Rudnicke Casting, Claire Simon Casting, and Stewart Talent).
