About this program
Marquette Theatre is a professionally focused, student-oriented program that offers a theoretical and practical liberal arts education with a social justice focus. Students develop skills across acting, lighting, stage and costume design, technical production, stage management, and arts management. The interdisciplinary program works with professionals in the classroom and on set, enabling theatre majors to become creators, collaborators, leaders, and thinkers prepared to make a difference on stage and off. All theatre arts majors are required to pursue a second minor or major in addition to their primary course of study, fostering broad connections between the performing arts and other disciplines across the university.
