About this program
Kutztown University's BA in Music offers two performance-focused emphases. The Music Performance emphasis is for students who aspire to careers performing, conducting, writing, or teaching music outside of public schools — studying with professional musicians who are active performers, recording artists, and composers. The Commercial Music emphasis is for students interested in the music industry; the curriculum includes practical learning in music and the music entertainment industry. Both require audition. Students may perform regionally and at Carnegie Hall. Popular double majors include Marketing, Communication Studies, Cinema Television & Media Production, and others.
