About this program
Kentucky Wesleyan College's BA or BS in Theatre Arts develops performers, directors, and designers through coursework in acting, stagecraft, and theatre history. Students gain practical experience in productions while preparing for careers in performance, education, and the arts. NO AUDITION REQUIRED for program admission. CURRICULUM (approximately 39-42 credit hours): Acting I & II; Stagecraft; Theatre History; Script Analysis; electives in directing, design, playwriting, or technical theatre. Participation in productions each semester provides continuous performance and backstage experience. SENIOR PROJECT/CAPSTONE: directed scene, performance, or design portfolio demonstrating mastery of the discipline. Faculty mentorship in developing professional résumé and audition or portfolio materials.
