About this program
IAB's BA (Hons) Acting is a contemporary professional actor training programme preparing graduates for careers in theatre, TV, film, radio, and new media. All teaching in English. YEAR 1: Core foundational skills in acting, voice, movement, and singing through workshops, scene studies, and small/large group presentations. First live shows. YEAR 2: Personal development; advancing skills; more rehearsal and stage productions; greater self-reflection; industry and business skills. YEAR 3: Series of public performances in IAB's theatres and in Barcelona. Typical classes: Shakespeare, Comedy of Manners, Devising, Acting for Screen and Recorded Media, Physical Theatre, Voice into Text, Mask Work, Singing, Contemporary Dance, Acting for Camera and Radio, Accents, Theatre History and Criticism, Arts Industry/Business. INDUSTRY WEEK: International agents and casting director workshops and auditions. GRADUATE REEL: Professionally filmed performance reel upon graduation. Entry requirements: Successful audition + IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent; native English speakers exempt) + national university entry qualification equivalent to 104 UK Tariff points or 24 IB points.
