About this program
Illinois State University's Dance Teacher Education Sequence prepares students for K-12 dance teaching with an Illinois professional educator license (secondary 9-12 endorsement). Minimum 100 clock hours of pre-student teaching clinical experience required. Identical audition and dance performance training to the Dance Sequence, with the addition of teacher education coursework and clinical experiences. ISU strongly recommends completing a second teaching field endorsement for students planning to teach at the high school level.
