About this program
Huntingdon College's BA in Music Education prepares students for P-12 Alabama teaching certification. 'Music Education majors complete the requirements for the Music major as well as Teacher Candidate clinical experiences to become eligible for certification from the Alabama State Department of Education. This certification allows one to teach at the P-12 levels in either choral or instrumental music.' CHORAL OR INSTRUMENTAL: Two tracks available. Both lead to P-12 Alabama certification. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE: Teacher Candidate clinical hours integrated throughout the programme (planning to teach — work with young musicians). Same faculty, facilities, and ensembles as BA in Music. NASM accredited.
