Houghton University's BM in Music Education prepares students for K-12 music teaching with New York state certification. NASM accredited since 1947. 'One of the great things about Houghton is that you get to be surrounded by people who think, act, perform, talk, and worship differently than you do. As an educator I believe that it is crucial to have that kind of experience.' CURRICULUM: Music education courses, applied performance, music theory, music history, conducting, methods courses, and student teaching. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE: Teacher candidate clinical hours integrated throughout the programme.
