About this program
Hamline's BA in Performance, Production, and Community is a unique interdisciplinary major combining theatre and dance. 'What makes Hamline's major different is that [it is] grounded in the belief in—and commitment to—the ability of performance to build, serve, and engage community.' CURRICULUM: Performance, production, and community coursework; collaborations with dance, music, digital storytelling, creative writing, digital/studio art. Courses explore: social change through performance, disability and theatre, journalism and performance, gender and queer theory in performance, directing, design. NO AUDITION REQUIRED for programme admission. THEATRE SCHOLARSHIP: Awarded by audition + interview. Scholarship finalists invited to on-campus audition. Applicants reviewed on background, theatre experience, letter of reference, and demonstrated interest. To maintain: active involvement in theatre programme two of three terms.
