Grambling State University's Theatre Concentration within the BA in Visual and Performing Arts is NAST-accredited (National Association of Schools of Theatre) since 1986. 'The Theatre concentration provides a curriculum developing a strong foundation for any theatre specialization and encompassing areas including acting, directing, playwriting, and arts management.' CAP STONE REQUIREMENTS: (1) Satisfactorily complete the comprehensive exam. (2) Successfully direct a one-act play as part of the capstone. ADMISSION: 'Students are required to audition and/or submit their portfolios for admittance in the program.' DEGREE STRUCTURE: 44 hours general education + 37 hours core courses + 40 hours Theatre concentration.
