ETAMU's Department of Music is NASM-accredited and houses Grammy-winning faculty. The programme is internationally recognised — students compete and perform overseas. NEW MUSIC BUILDING: State-of-the-art concert hall equipped with Steinway Spirio technology (the world's most responsive player piano system), which the Music Department uses for special educational and performance applications. WIND ENSEMBLE: The premiere ensemble of the Music Department; audition is described as 'rigorous and competitive.' Wind Ensemble performs at the highest collegiate level. THREE DEGREE OPTIONS: BM in Music Performance — intensive performance study; leads to professional performance or graduate school. BM in Music Education — leads to Texas K-12 music teaching certification. BA in Music — flexible liberal arts music degree. INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED: Students regularly compete and perform in international contexts. Grammy-winning faculty teach applied lessons and ensembles.
